Kirsten Hentz, DVM

Dr. Hentz is a California native whose veterinary experience has taken her throughout California and to the other side of the world.

She grew up in the San Francisco Bay area and went on to earn her bachelor of science degree in animal science from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. Upon graduation she moved to Central Valley to complete an internship at a referral equine hospital, followed by a couple years working at a Quarter Horse breeding farm.

When the time came to pursue her veterinary degree, her love of travel took her to Massey University in New Zealand, which provided her with an exceptional accredited education and countless memorable experiences unique to the area. During her time there she was a member of the emergency and critical care club, the radiology and diagnostic imaging club, and the wildlife club, and she treated native wildlife like kiwis and penguins.

Dr. Hentz returned to the States and participated in externships at a variety of clinics before joining Lake Elsinore Animal Hospital, and she is happy to be back home in California. She currently resides in Temecula with her 15-year-old Jack Russel Terrier, Chewie, and enjoys hiking, horseback riding, scuba diving, and movies.

Dr. Hentz is available at Lake Elsinore Animal Hospital.
