A Southern California native, Dr. Kim received his undergraduate degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology from The University of California, Berkeley. He then completed his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at The University of California, Davis.

His post-doctorate training included a rotating internship at the VCA Animal Specialty & Emergency Center in West Los Angeles and a surgical internship at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists in Houston, Texas. Dr. Kim then returned to Northern California to complete a surgical fellowship at the J.D. Wheat Veterinary Orthopedic Laboratory at The University of California, Davis; which was followed by a three-year surgical residency at the same institution he received his Doctorate.

Dr. Kim obtained Diplomate status with The American College of Veterinary Surgeons (ACVS) in 2012. He looks forward to providing patients with advanced surgical treatments for both orthopedic and soft tissue conditions. His clinical interests are minimally invasive procedures such as laparoscopy, arthroscopy, and thoracoscopy.

Dr. Kim is available by referral at Valley Veterinary Hospital Murrieta, Lake Elsinore Animal Hospital, and Norco Animal Hospital.
